Summary :

Obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSA) is a sleep disorder that manifests itself in a variety of ways. If left untreated, it has a detrimental effect on the cardiovascular system, causes excessive daytime sleepiness and contributes to an increase in traffic accidents. In adults with OSA, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the first-line medical treatment.

This thesis is conducted in collaboration with the homecare provider Linde Homecare France, and is part of the data science and computer engineering fields to develop a personalised patient management. In this research project, we have 4 main objectives, namely 1) characterisation of patients, 2) design and promulgation of personalised interventions, 3) verification, validation and monitoring of interventions and 4) automatic readjustment of models based on expert feedback.

In order to fulfil its objectives, we propose a new framework called Home Care Interventions as a Service (HIaaS) that provides interventions through various media. The main contribution of this thesis is the HIaaS framework and the associated results. Its results are 1) a model for creating patient profiles, 2) a model for predicting patient adherence, 3) a mobile application for home care technicians and 4) an application for patients with sleep apnea.
