Sylvain TOUCHARD

S. Touchard is currently member of DISP laboratory. S. Touchard is the head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) department at IUT Lumière Lyon. He is a member of the “System Lifecycle Modeling and Optimization” axis in DISP. His research activities deal with Product and Production Sustainability, including Product Life cycle Management. 

S. Touchard is currently member of two international research and collaboration projects: SUNSPACE and DIGITAQ Erasmus mundus projects. 

S. Touchard teaches in the fields of industrial risk assessment, chemical risk and fire hazard for postgraduat and undergrad degrees.

Before 2018, S. Touchchard was for 12 years a member of the LSPM laboratory at the University of Paris Nord in Villetaneuse, where he worked on the chemical modeling of low and high pressure plasma systems. In 1997, he received his M. Sc. (DEA) in Applied Chemistry and Plasma Process Engineering from the University Pierre and Marie Curie-Paris VI. After three years of industrial experience in process engineering for manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients, he joined ENSIC Nancy for his doctorate in process engineering, specialty Combustion from Nancy, France in 2005.
