Taha ARBAOUI
Dr. Taha Arbaoui is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at INSA Lyon (1st Post high school engineering university in France). He holds a research chair in Sustainable Supply Chain. He specializes in advanced approaches for sustainable transportation, planning, and scheduling problems. He has a special focus on advanced approaches for solving large-scale, real-world decision-making challenges. His research interests also include hybrid models that combine machine learning with operations research to improve efficiency in complex systems. Before joining INSA Lyon in 2023, he was an associate professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Technology of Troyes (France).
Dr. Arbaoui holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), where he worked on advanced optimization models and algorithmic strategies for resource allocation and planning. Before that, he earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique (ESI) in Algeria.
Over the course of his academic career, he has contributed to international conferences and journals and participated in collaborative research projects focused on transportation, scheduling, timetabling, and computational optimization. Dr. Arbaoui is passionate about bridging theory and practice in optimization and aims to develop efficient and applicable solutions to problems across various industries.
