Sustainability evaluation of short food supply chains

Food supply chains are extremely globalized and their lack of traceability, durability and resilience is often pointed out. To answer these challenges, short food supply chains are often presented as a valid alternative. However, multiple research papers underline that the general positive perception of short supply chains isn’t based on any concrete scientific evidence. In this PhD project we aim to bridge this gap in the literature while presenting a methodology of evaluation for short supply chains.
