Smart Battery Optimization for electric Vehicles with AI

Date

DISP leader

In a transportation and mobility context, the project aims to develop an intelligent solution based on artificial intelligence algorithms that enables the planning of a transport company’s operations by taking into account advanced information on the state of electric vehicle batteries, potentially second-life batteries. This project will allow companies to:

  • Predict vehicle lifespan and optimize the TCO.

  • Monitor battery performance.

  • Plan the operations of a fleet of vehicles over an operational horizon (day, week, month), taking into account:

    • Heterogeneity of batteries

    • Heterogeneity of vehicles

    • Charging planning (fast, slow, energy cost, renewable energies)

  • Plan maintenance operations on the vehicles (battery replacement, repairs, etc.).

  • Simulate battery/vehicle type choices according to the company’s activity:

    • Company activity simulator

    • Recommend the best type of batteries (new or second-life) to use based on the company’s activity and its environmental impact.
